For Auckland Transport, a Wayside Wheel Profile Monitoring (WPM) – Indoor system has been installed to automatically measure key wheelset parameters, including wheel profile geometry, flange height, flange width, qR value, wheel diameter, and axle dimensions such as the back-to-back distance between wheels.

Through the TSSSA model, CAF complements these monitoring capabilities with expert engineering support and spare parts management, helping operators make better maintenance decisions and improve fleet performance.
