For Tren Interurbano México – Toluca (Mexico), a Wayside Wheel Profile Monitoring (WPM) system and a Wheel Defect Detection (WDD) system have been installed to automatically measure key wheelset parameters, including wheel defects, wheel profile geometry, flange height, flange width, qR value, wheel diameter, and axle dimensions such as the back-to-back distance between wheels.
